Condition: Vintage; Good w/ normal signs of age & use; light surface scratches. This Silver Elgin American Clamshell Compact has a minimalist exterior design. "Elgin American" "Made in the USA." The company's hallmark is inscribed on the gold tone interior as well as the powder puff compartment. The interior lid (photo #6) for the compact closes, but only fully "locks" in place when the exterior lid is closed. The exterior push button lid is in great working condition and locks completely. The compact is protected in a velvet pouch.
