Condition: Vintage, Good with minor to normal signs of age, Enamel covered copper with gold plated details. The top's exterior features a painted "Winter Scene" with a couple in the forefront & children in the background ice skating, along with the words "Winter" in the lower left corner. The interior of the top features a scene with an animal in black and white. The Halcyon Days Enamels company hallmark is on the bottom. “Halcyon Days was established in 1950, Avery Row, Mayfair, London. Although the art of enamelling on copper had flourished throughout the second half of the 18th century, it had almost completely ceased by the 1830s. Halcyon Days set out to reviving this artisan craft.
