Condition: Vintage, Excellent w/ minor signs of age. Seated portrait of "Doris Marie Vogel, May 1930" (the female subject's name is written on the Verso of photograph's envelope). "Bushnell, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose" The Bushnell Studio's Hallmark is embossed in the lower right corner of the photograph's mat. The photograph is protected in a matted envelope.

Bushnell Photography was founded by Frederick Bushnell in 1872. Bushnell had several locations and was considered one of the major photography studios on the West Coast. From 1892 to 1907, Bushnell's San Francisco studio was located in two adjoining buildings on Market Street. In 1907 his successors moved the studio’s headquarters to Van Ness Avenue.
